Elk Capture Using Helicopter and Net-Gun in Riding Mountain National Park

As part of a comprehensive study to examine elk-agriculture interactions around Riding Mountain National Park (RMNP), wild elk were captured using a net-gun fired from a helicopter. This short video documents the capture process using live capture footage and interview with Dr. Marc Cattet, the wildlife veterinarian overseeing the animal welfare for the project.
